Fattorie Melini Lilium is an intense and vivid ruby red wine while the perfume is enveloping and complex with marked notes of mature fruit (morello cherry and raspberry) and pleasant floral scents (iris, violet); the flavour is full-bodied, smooth and fruity, keen and harmonious. After careful selection, some of the grapes are allowed to raisin. A painstaking control of the drying stage allows to obtain perfectly integral and rich in sugar bunches. At the same time, batches of wine that has just been drawn off are selected and the previously raisined grapes are added to this. This slow refermentation springs from the rediscovery and exaltation of a practice rich in history and territory: Governo all’Uso Toscano
