Crozes-Hermitage, E.Guigal

Description

This is the biggest appellation in the Northern Rhône and the wines are made entirely of Syrah. The reds are softer and fruitier than Hermitage because the soils are richer. Guigal mature this wine for a lengthy 18 months to refine the tannins yet it still delivers a remarkable freshness of red fruit character combined with the spicy pepper of the Syrah grape.
