Description

Bouchard Père et Fils, a family wine merchant, was established in 1731 by Michel Bouchard in Beaune. In 1771 Joseph Bouchard acquired his first vineyard in Volnay in the famous ” Les Caillerets” climat, this was to be the start of the family vineyard holdings and today Bouchard has become one of the largest and oldest land-owner in the Côte d’Or.

In 1995 Bouchard Père et Fils was bought by Joseph Henriot, a highly respected family Champagne house, who has been producing wines for over 200 years.

Beaune du Château cuvée, an exclusivity of the House, since 1907. A blend of several Premier Cru vineyards, vinified separately, this wine demonstrates the different facets of the terroir of Beaune. Red Beaune du Château comes from 17 Beaune Premier Cru vineyards, chosen for their complementary qualities: Aigrots, Avaux, Bas des Teurons, Belissands, Boucherottes, Bressandes, Cent Vignes, Champs Pimonts, Clos du Roi, Al’Ecu, En Genêts, Grèves, Pertuisots, Reversées, Seurey, Sizies and Toussaints. The wine exhibits a fine and perfumed nose, balanced with a typical softness.
